English language skills


All students who aim to pursue their further education in Australia must demonstrate their English proficiency by obtaining scores in the IELTS test.
IELTS is the only test accepted by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) for visa purposes from Pakistan. IELTS test to have been conducted not more than 24 months before the day on which the application was made.

Student enrolling in a diploma level program need an overall band of 5.5 and student with 5.0 Band are required to study ELICOS. For undergraduate degrees and postgraduate diplomas usually IELTS with 6.0 overall result is mandatory but for postgraduate degree courses, overall band score of 6.5 is compulsory requirements.


Academic requirements


Documents to be submitted to the university/college you wish to apply to:-

In some cases, you may have to submit more than one application form. For example, you may have to submit a general application, as well as a scholarship/assistantship application and a departmental application.

Most of the colleges/universities have application fee waiver but incase there is any application fee required by them you have to prepare the exact amount (bank demand draft) in the foreign currency and it must be in favor of the college/university payable at the college/university’s address not in your country.

 4. Undergraduate

To gain entry into an Australian undergraduate course you will need to have an Australia Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (Year 12), or the overseas equivalent. Some undergraduate courses may also have specific pre-requisite subjects. Admission to all undergrad programs is based on your marks obtained in HSC exams. Documents required are;

1. SSC Mark sheet
2. SSC Certificate
3. Intermediate Mark sheet
4. Intermediate Certificate
5. IELTS
6. Passport

If the transcripts are in a language other than English, then it must be translated into English by the issuing authority preferably.


Postgraduate
 
For post grad degrees and diplomas it is based on the marks obtained in your under graduate degree. Scores of GRE, GMAT is needed by some business schools. Your institution may take research ability or relevant work experience into consideration.
Students are required to submit an official transcript from each college or university that they have attended after secondary school with complete details of the subjects/credits involved (for each year).If the transcripts are in a language other than English, they must be translated into English only by the issuing authority or university. Other documents required are;

2.  Recommendation Letters
3.  Resume
4.  Cover Letter
5.  IELTS
6.  Passport


Diploma or other vocational courses:
 

Also known as VET and in order to apply in any of these programs students have to clear up to the level of 12 year qualification. These courses can even lead you to PR in Australia. Documents required to apply in any of these courses are:

1. SSC Mark sheet

3. Intermediate Mark sheet
4. Intermediate Certificate
5. IELTS
6. Passport
